I’m calling out the sanitation of this practice because the people wearing the gloves are doing other things in between serving, like getting more supplies & opening up boxes, with theses same gloves still on, then they’re not changed when they continue serving. Unfortunately these people working behind the dessert counter are not using tongs, as they should, to put your selected item in a dish but rather they’re picking it up with gloves on their hands. First off, the majority of the desserts are behind a glass window so you have to tell the person working behind the counter what you want. The biggest complaint I have is the dessert station. Both times I went they had no prime rib at the carving station (Rivers buffet in Des Plaines has prime rib every night for dinner). The price is fair, right around $22 bucks or so. Both times the food was average at best (not one thing stood out as very good or great) with some items tasting below average. I’ve been to the Village square Buffett twice.
